WG1 requests that Alex Brown liaises with Jeni Tennison to create a CD based on DTLL version 0.4, as the basis for part 5 of ISO 19757. WG1 will provide the editors with a report of the points raised during the WG1 meting in Atlanta.
WG1 considers that because the different parts of DSDL are designed to be combined within a single document, it is not advisable to register separate media types for each part of DSDL, unless that part is encoded in a non-XML format, such as the compact syntax of ISO 19757-2.
WG1 requests that the editor of Part 8 creates a CD, based on the text reviewed during the meeting.
WG1 resolved that the existing draft document be publishing as a PDTR, and submitted to the W3C as a requirements document for their development of an XML processing language (XML PL). WG1 recommends that work on Part 10 be suspended pending progress on their activity.
WG1 requests that the editor of Part 4 begins a review process of 19757-4, to consider how it might be modified to support requirements stated in Part 10.
WG1 notes that the editor of Part 9 has started a draft, but that examples need to be added to this before it can be submitted for review by national bodies.
WG1 requests that the editor produce an FCD so that it can be published as a preliminary part of the JIS translation of DSDL.
The schemas and XSLT stylesheets for the amended Part 11 are available on Sourceforge (http://sourceforge.net/projects/tr9573amd), and Mr. Makoto Murata and Mr. Yushi Komachi as editors are requested to evaluate these against existing documents. WG1 requests that working groups submit samples of ISO documents prepared using this standard, to be used for testing during its revision. The PDTR needs to include an XSL-FO mapping to PDF so that editors can use the new part during drafting.
WG1 expresses its appreciation to IDEAlliance for the meeting facilities provided to its members in Atlanta.
WG1 expresses its appreciation to Dyomedea in France and Eric van der Vlist for the support of WG1 through web site hosting and associated services.
WG1 expresses its appreciation to Alex Brown for acting as secretary during the meeting.
