The editor of Part 1 is requested to prepare a revised CD text based on accepted changes in the Disposition of Comments in N0630. WG1 recommends that, after electronic review of the revised CD by WG1 members the revised text be submitted to the ISO/IEC JTC1/SC34 for ballot by national member bodies
Having reviewed the ballot results for the FPDAM, WG1 recommends that the revised text, incorporating a definition for a specific media type for the compact syntax, be submitted to the ISO/IEC JTC1 for ballot as an FDAM. WG1 asks that SC34 considers asking JTC1 to make the final text freely available. WG1 further asks SC34 to consider making the compact syntax for RELAX NG the preferred format for documenting schemas within future SC34 standards, and that other JTC1 bodies be encouraged to use this new ISO standard in place of ISO 8879 DTDs or W3C XML Schemas.
WG1 requests that the editor of Part 3 review the comments of the FCD ballot and prepare a Disposition of Comments related to any comments received with the ballot. After circulating the Disposition of Comments to WG1 members for review (within 10 working days) the editor is instructed to prepare an FDIS, incorporating accepted changes and any comments received from WG1. WG1 recommends that, after electronic review of the FDIS by WG1 members (within 21 days), the revised text be submitted to the ISO/IEC JTC1 for publication. WG1 asks that SC34 considers asking JTC1 to make the final text freely available as the specification has been based on a freely available specification from Academia Sinica Computing Centre (ASCC) in Taipei.
WG1 requests that the editor of Part 4 prepare an FDIS, incorporating accepted changes in the Disposition of Comments in N0631. WG1 recommends that, after electronic review of the FDIS by WG1 members the revised text be submitted to the ISO/IEC JTC1/SC34 for publication. WG1 recommends that SC34 should ask JTC1 to make the final text freely available as the document is based on a fast-tracked Japanese standard that is publicly available, which has previously been circulated as Part 2 of ISO/IEC 22250.
WG1 requests that Makoto Murata to create a revised CD for Part 7, incorporating accepted changes in the Disposition of Comments in N0632. WG1 recommends that, after electronic review of the CD by WG1 members the revised text be submitted to the ISO/IEC JTC1/SC34 for ballot by national member bodies.
The editor of Part 8 is requested to complete the recommendation made at the last SC34 meeting to prepare a CD text for national body ballot.
The editor of Part 9 is requested to prepare a complete WD text based the initial draft submitted to WG1 and to submit it for national committee ballot as soon as possible.
Having reviewed the first working draft of the proposed Technical Report for Part 10 the editor is requested to extend the existing scenario by adding a practical example and extend the example applications to show how this example would be interpreted by each of the pipelining languages before producing a PDTR for submission to ISO/IEC central secretariat for ballot by national member bodies.
WG1, having noted some of the functionality provided in the recently updated proposed specification for XML Path 2.0, asks member bodies to consider whether a constrained subset of this specification could be used with the Datatype Library Language (DTLL) proposed for Jeni Tennison as the basis of Part 5 to provide a simple mechanism for extending Part 3 constraints to manage datatype validation error reporting.
WG1 recommends that ISO 13673 be reconfirmed by National Bodies as an International Standard if the Summary of Voting on 2003 Systematic Review of ISO/IEC 13673:2000 in N437 does not invalidate the current request.
WG1 requests that the editor of ISO/IEC 9573-13 prepare a DTR, incorporating accepted changes in the Disposition of Comments in N0629. WG1 also asks the editor to take into account the comments submitted by the Unicode Consortium in N0601, and produce a detailed Disposition of Comments thereon for submission as a liaison statement to Unicode and incorporation into the revised text where appropriate. WG1 recommends that, after electronic review of the DTR by WG1 members, the revised text be submitted to the ISO/IEC JTC1 for publication. WG1 asks that SC34 considers asking JTC1 to make the final text freely available.
WG1 expresses its appreciation to IDEAlliance for the meeting facilities provided to its members in Amsterdam on May 21st and to CSW for providing meeting facilities on May 22nd.
WG1 expresses its appreciation to Dyomedea in France and Eric van der Vlist for the support of WG1 through web site hosting and associated services.
