It is the position of the U.S. National Body that no part of the restatement of ISO 13250 should advance beyond CD status until the Topic Maps Reference Model is integrated into the restatement and has reached CD status. At a minimum, Part 2, Data Model, must include an exposition of how it implements the Topic Maps Reference Model.
The U.S. recognizes that although the essential model in the Topic Maps Reference Model is correct, the most recent draft (N460) is incomplete. Accordingly, the U.S. encourages the participants in JTC 1/SC 34 WG3 to make the necessary effort required to progress the Topic Maps Reference Model to CD status.
