JP-094 & JP-095. Index has been removed. 

**096. The ISO guidelines (10.4) say

Undated references may be made:
• only to a complete document;
• if it will be possible to use all future changes of the referenced 
  document for the purposes of the referring document;
• when it is understood that the reference will include all 
  amendments to and revisions of the referenced document
  
In most of the cases where the editor has removed the date, all these 
conditions are not met. The reader needs to know which edition is being 
referenced. These dates should be restored. 

**002. This date must be restored. It is impossible to know how the 
vulnerabilities may be affected in future revisions of the Fortran standard.  

**006. ISO/IEC 60559:2020 is referenced normatively in 6.4.2 and should be 
restored to 2. 

**009. Restore the years, see **096.

**015. "ISO/IEC 1539-1:2023"  would be better here. 

**017 & **018. Fortran began as an ANSI standard in 1966, became ISO 1539 in 
1977, and became ISO/IEC 1539-1 later. We caught all this by talking about 
revisions of the Fortran standard. This should be restored in 4.1. It is not 
correct to use "ISO/IEC 1539-1". 

**025. The editor's suggestion should be accepted (already done in 4.3). 
 
**027. The IEEE standard says "divide zero by zero" because it applies however
zero is represented. We should do this too. 

**028. Using the Fortran names for the flags is inappropriate because we are 
talking about the IEEE standard. I think it would be much better to use the
previous wording without using italics. Note that the next sentence is 
"There are five corresponding Fortran exception flags."

**031. "companion processor" should not be in italics.

**033. "images" should not be in italics. Add date to reference.

**037. "MPI" should not be in code font. It is not an identifier in the 
language, unlike MPI_Irecv, MPI_Isend, etc.

**040. Change to "... , inconsistent values can sometimes be obtained."
[You can't have a single inconsistent value and we need the uncertainty 
here.}

**JP042. Add "by the processor" after "regarded" to make the meaning clear. 

**046. This change has been done. 

**052. More rewording is needed. I suggest "where the intrinsic modules
IEEE_EXCEPTIONS, IEEE_ARITHMETIC, and IEEE_FEATURES are in use, apply the
procedures of IEEE_EXCEPTIONS and IEEE_ARITHMETIC with names starting 
IEEE_SUPPORT to determine ... ISO/IEC 60559:2020 ... ". Do not move 
ISO/IEC 60559:2020 to the bibliography; this reference is definitive. 

**054. "ISO 10646 character" is a Fortran term than needs to be defined in
this document. Add
    3.7a
    ISO 10646 character
    character whose representation method corresponds to UCS-4 in 
    ISO/IEC 10646:2020
This is normative, so move ISO/IEC 10646:2020 from the bibliography to 2. 

JP056 and JP057. The years have (correctly) been retained here.

**066. Go back to the old wording. The rewording is not clearer; it is wrong; 
transfer, etc are language-specific mechanisms to convert between unrelated 
types.

**GB074. Restore "code block" to "block" thrice. "block" is a Fortran term. 
Do we need to add it to 3?

**076. The rewording does not work. ISO/IEC 1539-1 allows errors in the 
handling of strings when communicating with C. I suggest
"the NUL terminator must be handled explicitly in the Fortran code."

**078. In 6.54.1, line 1, change the second "Fortran" to "ISO/IEC 1539-1:2023". 
In 6.54.1, change final sentence to "The intended effect is not performed."
because the intended effect might be to assign the value to another variable. 

**080. Date needed for ISO/IEC 1539-1.

**081. Restore "from time to time". It is an important part of the sentence. 

**082. The numbering needs to be undone. 

**083. Change "ISO/IEC" to  "ISO/IEC 24772-1:2024".

JP086. This edit has not been done. 

JP087. Move these items to 2 and remove Bibliography.
