 Bill Leonard is right.  So is Presley Smith (50% ?).
 The remaining segment of the computer language "market" that remains with
Fortran is pretty obviously PERFORMANCE oriented.
 X3J3 is supposed to be a volunteer org, not a representative body.  And in
a bunch of volunteers, you are mostly going to find people with one or another
axe to grind.  The problem is that there are many flavors of axes.
