On my return I shall be going on Study Leave for one term, returning to my regular duties on Monday 16th January 1995. Although I shall be checking my email from time-to-time, I do not have any means of doing so from home (where I shall mostly be working during my Leave) and so responses to email messages will be intermittent at best for the remainder of 1994! Since I am on _Study_ Leave, and have a programme of study already roughed out, I am not intending to participate in any Standards activity during my Leave (other than a small amount of IST/5 work in the UK). However, I look forward to discovering that great things have happened during my absence! My secretary will be checking my email reasonably frequently, and if there is something that is _really_ urgent then she will print it out and forward it to me at home. So if you really need to contact me (and I can't think that anything that I can say can really be that urgent ;-) you should make sure that the subject header draws attention to the fact. Similarly for snail mail.
