It has been pointed out to Jeanne that item 39 was withdrawn from the
ballot and therefore its edits (approved unanimously at meeting 124 of
X3J3) should not have been included in the corrigendum. She has
therefore decided to remove the edits (for pages 46 and 173) to avoid
the possibility of a formal objection.

I have amended the corrigendum to correspond and it replaces the old version
on my ftp server. It is available by anonymous ftp from 
           jkr.cc.rl.ac.uk (130.246.8.20)
in the file
           pub/wg5/corrigendum.ps

I am not aware of any controversy with respect to these items, so I believe
that Jeanne's decision need have no effect on implementors (or book writers!).
It is just that these edits have 'missed the train'.
