------ Forwarded Message

The HPF Language Specification, version 1.0 final is now available for
anonymous FTP from Rice. It will be available from the other "usual"
outlets early next week, after I return from San Diego. This document will
appear in Scientific Programming, vol. 2, no. 1 in July. We will not be
writing any new versions this year, but there will be a follow-up effort
starting in January 1994 to consider new features.

FTP instructions:
The relevant files are on titan.cs.rice.edu in directory
/public/HPFF/draft. They are
        hpf-v10-final.dvi Language specification, DVI format
        hpf-v10-final.ps Language specification, Postscript
        hpf-v10-final.tar Language specification, tar file
                                (contains LaTeX files)
jod-v10-final.dvi Journal of Development, DVI format
        jod-v10-final.ps Journal of Development, Postscript
jod-v10-final.tar Journal of Development, tar file
                                (contains LaTeX files)
All files also exist in compressed form.

Finally, the next two messages will have the minutes of the last two HPFF
meetings, which never got posted. (Look out! Big text files incoming!)

                                                                Chuck Koelbel
------ End of Forwarded Message

I haven't seen this come across the X3J3/WG5 network,
so for those that are interested...
(I haven't seen the "big text files" yet, though.)

The HPF document itself is 184 pages;
the JOD is 44 pages.

Jerry
