ISO/IEC 1539:1991 has been reprinted with a new cover as BS EN 21539:1992,
that is it has been adopted as a European standard and subsequently endorsed
as a British standard (effective 15 March 1993).

Apparently it was approved as an EN on 30 October 1992, although this seems to
have been kept very quiet. By CEN/CENELEC regulations, this means it must
also be adopted as a national standard, by May 1993 at the latest, in all of
the following countries: A, B, DK, SF, F, D, GR, IS, IRL, I, L, NL, N, P, E,
S, CH and GB.
