To X3J3:

I have just sent you, in another message, the draft items for the next X3J3
006 ballot, which I am planning for March 1-30. Please send any corrections
to me by Feb 24, so that I can incorporate them in the "official" ballot.

Though we did not discuss this in Ft Lauderdale, I would like to conduct this
next ballot entirely by email; the only disadvantage to this that I can see
is that you won't see the "pretty" version, only the email version of the
ballot items. If there's any objection to the "all email" format then I will
send around paper copies also, as in the past.

There are now 130 items in the 006, plus two batches (draft and approved) of
000000 edits. There will be 32 items plus one 000000 batch on the ballot.
There are 79 items plus one 000000 batch that are ready for WG5. That leaves
19 items still under consideration in X3J3; they are:

       /edit GEN DATA CIO PROC
       ----- --- ---- --- ----
         7 96 76 49
        28 101 77 83
        88 121 81 90
                            111 99
                                                122
                                                124
                                                126
                                                127
                                                128

We're making progress!

Jerry
