At this time, these are going only to me and
the submitter, so I thought I should pass this
one along, as we obviously want to do this one
(right after we adopt the COME FROM statement).

Request number:
51

Name:
Bruce A. Martin

E_mail:
bam@tripodics.com

Title:
Minimum trip count of 2, for Do loops.

Description:
For trip counts less than two, the IF statement suffices.
Therefore lower bound for DO should be two,
in the interest of language parsimony.

Rationale:
   It will make control flow
   easier to understand.

Impact:
Oboletes a few old dusty decks,
which were probably non-conforming anyhow.

Specification:
See Loren Meissner's comment on this subject
(in Betty Holberton's backyard),
in FIDS minutes circa 1978.
