I'm hard pressed to see how the situation could be tracable to a Mac 
running OS X, any of the BSD varients, any of the System V varients or 
even Linux (even Lindows, the least secure version of Linux doesn't 
respond in such a fashion, at least not with any of the well known 
pathogens).
