WG5,

Lawrie Schonfelder has provided a version of his string module that uses
allocatable components instead of pointer components. It conforms with
the TR extension of Fortran 95.

I have put it in

ftp://ftp.nag.co.uk/sc22wg5/ISO_VARYING_STRING

where there is a README file to explain things. This is already
referenced from the WG5 home page.

John.
