WG5,

I have placed Richard's four papers, N1539, N1540, N1543, N1544 on the
server (he called N1544 typos.txt) with two page number corrections to
N1544 (approved by Richard):

jkr % diff  N1544.txt  N1544.txt~
22c22
<   [44:23] "USE" -> "use"
---
 >   [4:23] "USE" -> "use"
130c130
<   [105:3] (C609), [105:4] (C610), and [105:13] (C614).
---
 >   [205:3] (C609), [105:4] (C610), and [105:13] (C614).

Here are some suggested edits from me as another paper, not on the
server yet.

Cheers,

John.

                  Suggested edits to the draft standard

                                  John Reid

47:10. Change 'LENGTH' to 'LEN'.

48:0+3. Change 'LENGTH' to 'LEN'.

59:15. After 'name.' add 'It has the accessibility of the parent type.'

205:NOTE 9.49/SUBROUTINE pwf/3. Change 'TYPE' to 'CLASS'.
206:NOTE 9.50/SUBROUTINE pwf/3. Change 'TYPE' to 'CLASS'.
  [See C936 on page 201. The types person and node are extensible.]

285:7. Change 'may' to 'shall'.

408/17+2. After 'inaccessible' add 'by its own name'.

423/47-48. Change 'or ... or' to ', a variable that the function accesses,
   or a variable'. [To allow for host association.]

Glossary. Why have all the italics been removed? I suggest:

427:6. Add 'Where the definition uses a term that is itself defined
in this glossary, the first occurrence of the term in that definition
is printed in italics.' [F95 words]

Glossary: restore the italics. [Makes it clearer.]
