The ballot is attached below; the hardcopy version includes S20.123. An email version of S20.123 was distributed before Thanksgiving; an update to this is on the X3J3 FTP server; there are additional minor edits to even that, for items 26, 31, 77, and 92. I will be sending you an email version of the final S20.123 in the next couple of days (the same as accompanies the hardcopy version of this ballot). I sympathize with the comments about the disadvantages of having a letter ballot over the holidays. Therefore I have changed the dates of the ballot to Dec 9 - Jan 8, which at least gives you a couple more days after Christmas. A principal reason that I wanted to get the S20 out before Thanksgiving was because of this holiday problem. There are two reasons why we need to complete this letter ballot on Jan 8. First, it was clear from the last meeting that running a letter ballot right up to before the meeting is unsatisfactory because complete information about the results is then not available for the meeting. Second, it was decided at last summer's WG5 meeting that the "X3J3 approved..." items would be published in the Fortran Forum after the S20.123 ballot. The publication schedule requires having that list identified by approximately Jan 15.
