Karl-Heinz Rotthaeuser ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Preliminary Information for the Meeting of ISO/IEC JTC1/SC22/WG5 1993-07-5/9 Berchtesgaden, Bavaria, Germany VENUE DIN, the German National Body of SC22, is hosting the meeting of WG5 in Berchtesgaden, Bavaria from Monday to Friday, 1993-07-5/9. The meeting will be held at "MAX-PESCHEL-HAUS" Buchenhoehe 24 D-8240 Berchtesgaden Germany a conference centre in the Berchtesgaden district of the Alps near the German/Austrian border. Lodging facilities are also provided at "MAX-PESCHEL-HAUS" in single and double rooms. A few family appartments may also be available. Arrival at the centre is Sunday 4th July, departure can either be Friday 9th July or Saturday 10th July. Prices for single or double rooms, which include full board and seminar facilities, are DM 70 per person, per day. TRAVEL Berchtesgaden is served by Salzburg (Austria) and Munich (Germany) airports. Access from Salzburg (ca. 25 km): There is an airport bus from Salzburg airport to Salzburg railway station. From here you can either take a bus to Berchesgaden, or go by train changing at Freilassing. We may be able to organize a bus transfer from Salzburg airport. by car: Motorway from Salzburg in the direction of Villach, exit Salzburg-Sued, continue via Groedig to Berchtesgaden. Access from Munich airport (ca. 170km): There is a train ("S-Bahn") or airport bus to Munich main railway station (ca 1 hour). From here you can take a train to Berchtesgaden (ca 3 hours). by car: a direct motorway link Munich to Salzburg (A8), exit Bad Reichenhall, direction Berchtesgaden.
