Here are some more tentative plans for the
reunion. I am not getting many ideas from
others, so this is pretty much out of my
own head. Please let me know how you would
do things differently and we'll see. Nothing
is cast in concrete yet, although I have put
a some deposits (mostly refundable) on my
credit card.

I really need help making more contacts,
particularly with the old timers. I've
even lost a couple. Andy Tait's msg bounced
when I sent the last one, for example.

The dinners would be a little more than you
might expect. NV has 7.25% food tax and they
and in 20% gratuity. M&S will run about $50+
and GB maybe even a little more. So if you
only would do one of the two, let me know and
which you would prefer. If we don't get enough
takers, we'll just go to dinner individually.

I will be asking for money right after the
first of the year (good timing, eh?), so think
about what you will want to sign up for amongst
the two dinners and the cruise (the cruise is
<$20, so should be no problem). Mallory has
volunteered to accept checks and I will try to
set up the Fortran store so you can "purchase"
your events on line. That will be particularly
good for us if you don't have a US bank account.

The following is the agenda presented at

http://www.fortran.com/reunion/agenda.html

Friday 1800: FIDS and dinner at Gordon Biersch
(restaurant and microbrewery across the parking
lot from the hotel; no-host drinks and sit-down
dinner).

Saturday 0900: What's in F2K, John Reid and
his troop of merry players from the UK

Saturday 1100: Guess the Geezer, Jerry Wagener
and his deck of dusty photos

Saturday 1300: Depart for Lake Mead

Saturday 1400: Two-hour cruise on the lake.
Miles Ellis will go around collecting proposals
to "finally make Fortran right".
