Just received via Brian's document list mailing. What is going on?
I understood we had just had a letter ballot in SC22 on whether to register
the above as a CD. This was affirmative so now we had to have a full national
body/public comment ballot on this CD and its suitability as a standard.
This would give rise to further processing at the CD stage prior to it being
balloted as a potential DIS. I am now totally confused that we now appear to
be voting on the question of the DIS.
In spite of being the project editor and principal author of this document,
I do not think it ready for DIS processing. The draft is a CD and it needs
proper public review, editorial improvement and almost certainly some
technical changes before it is ready for DIS processing. Can we get some
definitive statement of what ballot we have just had and what ballot the above
is.

yours confusedly

Lawrie
