Make a suggestion for an ad hoc and you get bnf in your reader. Hummmm.

Given the surprising amount of activity already observed (and I'm told there
was more -- offline at both the Victoria and Seattle meetings), possibly
some presentations could be organized for the New Haven meeting:

-- "What is object oriented programming?" (it is not obvious to me
that all of X3J3 is ready to start with bnf)

Given the possibly diverse interpreations of this, there could
several presentations -- each with the same title but different
          content.

-- "What are differences in programming language approaches?" (maybe
an X3J3 member supportive of OO in the Palo Alto area could contact
the HP chair of that new X3 committee I mentioned in a prior note
          and report)

Possibly an ad hoc group could be organized now and work by e-mail to
organize an object lesson for the New Haven meeting. Why let two more
months go by?

Thanks, Dick W.
