Dear all,

I am taking advantage of email to send my thanks to the many friends I have
in the Fortran community who sent me getwell messages following the heart
attack I suffered in August. Your messages were a great morale boost when I
needed it most. There were so many that it would take me ages to reply
individually but email allowes me to say THANKS to a large number all at once.

I am recovering al beit slowly. I am back at work but part time for the first
weeks or perhaps months. I am having to take regular rehabilitation exercises
and will probably end up fitter than I have been for years. I might even join
Jerry in long distance walking; to date I am limited to 2 or 3 miles
(2.4-3.6Km) at a go but this is increasing. I have used my forced holiday!!!
to indulge my hobby of writing odd programs in Fortran (95 of course). I hope
to see many of you at a future WG5 meeting.

Thank you all once again.
