Subject: Change of convenor
X-Sun-Charset: US-ASCII

Dear WG5,
This is to tell you that I have now taken over from Miles
Ellis as Convenor.

I asked Nag if they would be willing to host the www site as well as
the document repository and they have very kindly agreed. The new
address is
     http://www.nag.co.uk/sc22wg5/
Please change any references in pages that you maintain to this new
address. Miles has cleverly arranged that if you access the old address,
a message about the change will be displayed for a little while and
then you will be transferred to the new address.

Sending electronic documents to me will be (slightly) easier than
it was to Miles. RAL still has an anonymous ftp site, so you will
not have to remember a user name or password. It is
       ftp.numerical.rl.ac.uk/pub/open/wg5
Please tell me by email if you have placed something there.

I look forward to working with you all in this new role.

Best wishes,

John Reid.
