Subject: =?iso-8859-1?Q?Trollh=E4ttan?= Meeting

I shall be out of the office after today until next Wednesday (20th May),
and will leave on Saturday 30th May for a conference from which I shall
travel directly to Trollh=E4ttan.

So any documents which are to be distributed before the meeting MUST REACH
ME NO LATER THAN THURSDAY 28th MAY, and preferably sooner.

In this connection, I would remind Heads of Delegations that they should
submit their Reports in advance, so that everyone has a chance to read them
before the meeting. So far, only Keith Bierman (for the US) has submitted
his Report.

May I also remind Heads of Delegations that they should already have
notified both me and Lars Mossberg of the people who will form their
delegations. To date only two have done so - the US and the UK. I assume
(and hope ;-) that others are coming, so please let me and Lars know the
details as soon as possible.

The draft agenda indicates two major items of business - a review of where
J3 has got in the development of the Requirements agreed by WG5 last year,
and a thorough review of our own procedures, as detailed in the WG5
Strategic Plan (SD4, currently N1287). I am giving a "Technical Keynote
Address" tomorrow to the Fortran Futures 98 conference in London, during
which I plan to raise a number of issues that concern me about how we do
our business, and I hope to put some proposals on the WG5 server some time
next week, based on the discussion that, I hope, will ensue.

If anyone wishes any particular item to be added to the agenda for
Trollh=E4ttan please let me know as soon as possible.

I hope to see many of you in June,

Miles
