Subject: New documents on the server and ballot information

The following new documents are on the WG5 server:

1306	Conditional Compilation - CD 1539-3 (Epstein, Reid)
1307	Disposition of Comments on Exception Handling PDTR Ballot (Reid)
1308	Disposition of Comments on Enhanced Data Types PDTR Ballot (Cohen)

I am sorry for the delay in putting these on the server. They were all
sent to SC22 some time ago, but I completely forgot to put them on the
server!

They relate to three ballots that are, or will shortly be, taking place
within SC22 or JTC1.

The Combined Registration and FCD (Final CD) ballots on Part 3 of the
Fortran Standard (Conditional Compilation) takes place at the SC22 level.
It was distributed by email on 5th November and the ballot will end on 9th
April. This timing is quite convenient for us because it means that we
should be able to agree during our meeting in Trollhattan (June 8-12) on
what action needs to be taken in response to any ballot comments.

The DTR ballots on the Exception Handling and Enhanced data Types are
conducted at the JTC1 level. There was a slight delay because the JTC1
Secretariat would only accept an electronic version, but required it to be
sent by email. My first attempt (to the SC22 Secretariat for onward
transmission to the JTC1 Secretariat) failed because my attachments
containing the pdf files were subsequently included in the body of an email
to the JTC1 Secretariat! In order to resolve the problem I was asked to
resend them directly to the JTC1 Secretariat. I have not heard any more so
I assume that she managed to extract them satisfactorily. I have not yet
heard when the JTC1 ballot will end.
