essential Fortran 90 & 95 is a text book describing the common
features of F and Essential Lahey Fortran. The emphasis is on
numeric/scientific computing, and would be perfect for an intro-
ductory course for engineerings or scientists.

It covers the set of common features, with an appendix that
describes differences between the two subsets. Several hundred
example program files are available in electronic form.

It can be ordered online for $40.

Vendors: this might be a nice book to provide to educational
customers to help us all get more Fortran back into the schools!
