Subject: PDTR Ballots

You will be glad to hear that both the PDTR ballots (Floating-Point
Exceptions and Enhanced Data Type Facilities have passed. The voting was
as follows:

PDR 15580 - Floating-Point Exception Handling

Registration: 15 YES 0 NO 2 ABSTAIN

Germany and the UK supplied comments with their YES votes

Approval: 15 YES 0 NO 2 ABSTAIN

Germany and the UK supplied comments with their YES votes

PDR 15581 - Enhanced Data Type Facilities in Fortran

Registration: 15 YES 0 NO 2 ABSTAIN

Germany supplied comments with its YES vote

Approval: 15 YES 0 NO 2 ABSTAIN

Germany supplied comments with its YES vote

The editors and I will discuss what to do about the points raised in
comments and will then circulate revised versions of the documents. Since
they both received overwhelming support I hope to then have a 30-day
electronic ballot to forward them both for final DTR ballot, in the
expectation that the approved TRs will be published towards the end of the
year.
