I am happy to inform you that my place at future WG5 meetings will
be taken by Dr. Jamie Shiers, also of CERN. His appointment has been
confirmed by the governing body of European high-energy physics
computing, and he will attend meetings from 1993 on. Jeanne Martin
as agreed to accept this replacement of a non-national member.

His background is as an experimentalist, but for some years he has
worked on the boundary of applications and systems, writing large
Fortran programs to perform such tasks as maintaining data bases of
physics events distributed over various media and computer centres.
These programs are part of CERNLIB.

I wish him success with Fortran 2000.
