Subject: Review of N1225 - Floating-Point Exception Handling TR

Resolutions D5 from Dresden requested the editor to make certain minor
changes to the draft and directed me to request SC22 to initiate a PDTR
ballot as soon as possible thereafter. N1225 is the revised draft TR.

Accordingly, I am conducting a 30-day informal ballot of the full WG5
membership to confirm that N1225 is ready for submission to SC22 for
registration and approval as a Provisional Draft Technical Report (PDTR) -
equivalent to a CD balot for a standard.

The document is available on the WG5 server in Acrobat and PostScript in
the directory DOCUMENTS_FOR_REVIEW, subdirectory Exceptions_TR. It is also
available in the LATEST_DOCS directory. It will be distributed in printed
form to those people who receive printed documents.

The ballot will close at noon on Saturday 28th September 1996 (any time
zone you like!). Votes will be assumed to be individual votes unless
identified (by the appropriate Head of Delegation) as representing a
National position.

Please reply by email to <Miles.Ellis@etrc.ox.ac.uk> if possible, ensuring
that the subject line clearly identifies it as a ballot comment. A REPLY
to this message will do.

If an email reply is not possible, then either a fax to me on +44 1865
270527 or snail-mail to the address shown below will be acceptable.

Miles
