I would like to draw your attention to two matters.

1. Due to an error on the hotel's part, at least one person who phoned
for a reservation and quoted the group as "Fortran" or "WG5" had some
problems as the reservations staff didn't seem to know anything about
    the group.

This problem has (I am assured) been rectified, and anyone asking for
a reservation for "WG5" or "Fortran" or "119967" should have no
    difficulties.

Please let me know if anyone encounters any difficulties.

2. Due to an oversight on my part, I had not reserved a block of rooms
for the Friday night, July 31, or Saturday, August 1, for those
persons wishing to stay an extra day or two. (We do however have a
block of 10 rooms held for Saturday, July 25.)

Unfortunately, for the Friday and Saturday nights after the meeting,
the hotel is nearly full (as are most places in Victoria in the summer).
They have however agreed to hold a block of 10 rooms for us (at the
same rate) for the nights of Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1.

Nonetheless, anyone who is planning on staying either or both of those
extra nights should contact the hotel and make their reservations
    as soon as possible.

If those rooms are not booked, then I have assured the hotel that we
will release them so that they may be made available for others to
    book.

My apologies for the oversight, and thanks for your cooperation.

Bert
