Subject: S20 in Fortran Forum
X-Charset: ASCII
X-Char-Esc: 29

I have only just seen your note, having been away all last week in France and
Germany (giving two talks on F90). I think that S20 is not yet ready for
publication in Fortran Forum. It is a first draft for X3J3 to work on at the
next meeting. I have not checked it all, but I think that items 1, 3, 6, 9, 10,
13, 17, 21, 22, 23, 25, 29, and 32 are incorrect or incomplete. I believe also
that there are some items that have been approved but are not included. I
would like to persuade you to wait until after the WG5 meeting and then
publish those interpretations that have passed X3J3's procedures and been
approved by WG5.
If you publish anything now, please make it clear that it is a working
draft that has not yet been approved by either X3J3 or WG5.

                                           John Reid.
