Hi all,

Unfortunately, Jeff Hammond had to withdraw his generous offer to host
the 2025 WG5/J3 meeting in Helsinki, as Nvidia and the Finnish national
body could not come to an agreement. I then reached out to Kate and
Damian to see if LBL would be willing to host us again, even though
we'll have just been there for J3 in February. The answer was "Yes", and
the preferred week from LBL facilities is the week of June 23.

I know that we have had a tradition, at least as long as I've been on
the committee, of alternating between North America and the rest of the
world, but we have so few members outside North America who have the
ability to host us. Perhaps we can try again for 2026 (this is a hint to
those of you outside NA!)

Does anyone, who would normally attend in person, have a problem or
conflict with Berkeley the week of June 23? Once again, unless INCITS
comes to its senses, we'll have to organize this as separate meetings,
with J3 Monday through Thursday morning, and WG5 Thursday afternoon and
Friday.

Please let me know if this is acceptable or not, as Kate and Damian need
to lock down the dates soon.

(When you reply, please make sure that the reply goes to the WG5 list if
you aren't just replying to me only. Thanks.)

Steve
