Several years ago, I was invited to join a GitHub-based project. I
couldn't get it to do anything useful. Nobody helped me, and I couldn't
find documentation. So I haven't tried again. If it's easier now, I
might try to participate in Ondrej's GitHub. Is there a simple "How to
get started" tutorial, or do I have to read something bigger than
18-007r2? So far, I've just sent him stuff to post.

And one more thing -- for those participating in these discussions,
please send your messages only to sc22wg5@open-std.org. That's
automatically forwarded to j3@j3-fortran.org. If you send it to both
places, most of us get two of the messages.
