John and all,

My apologies for commenting late. All messages between 6135 and 6140, as well as those from
6122 to 6133 were captured by the Gmail SPAM filter, and I didn't know there were drafts of
the Minutes, until John directly asked me yesterday.

In the title:
> Hosted by IPSJ/ITSCJ, the Japan Member Body for JTC1/SC22

This is inaccurate and inappropriate. IPSJ/ITSCJ corresponds to JTC1 and does actual work
on behalf of JISC, the National Member Body. Neither JISC nor IPSJ/ITSCJ/SC22 were involved
in management of the meeting.

--> "Hosted by IPSJ/ITSCJ, and Held at the University of Tokyo"
or "Held at the University of Tokyo"

You may spell out the acronyms, but the place is more important than the full name of the host
in the title, for practical purposes.

In 2.2 Welcome from the Host
> Masayuki Takata welcomed participants, on behalf of the High Performance
> computing with Fortran Promoting Consortium (HPFPC) and the University
> of Tokyo.

HPFPC is irrelevant. The University is relevant but only indirectly, and I think I didn't
mention it.

--> "Masayuki Takata welcomed participants, on behalf of IPSJ/ITSCJ, the host organization."

I received a direct message from John, that said:
> Here is another try:
>
> "Masayuki Takata welcomed participants. He explained about refreshments during the meeting and
> about the Wednesday evening reception, both provided by the High Performance computing with
> Fortran Promoting Consortium (HPFPC), and the meeting rooms provided by the University of Tokyo."

This is true, after you replace HPFPC with IPSJ/ITSCJ, though I personally prefer a simple way.
Both are okay with me, and the choice is up to you, John.

In 5.2 National Activity Reports
> Japan: ITSCJ supplied its requests for the next revision of the
> standard (N2168). HPFPC is active and organized a half-day
> meeting on Friday August 2 on "Fortran, where are you going?",
> inviting John Reid and Steve Lionel as speakers.

The subject "ITSCJ" should be either "Japan" (vaguely) or "ITSCJ/SC22/Fortran WG" (accurately).
HPFPC is not related to WG5. It would be misleading to record their symposium as a part of the
National Activity Report, in this form.

Iwashita-san: Didn't you say anything on the schedule of F2018 translation?

On Wednesday:
> Meeting attendees and their guests were treated to a delightful buffet
> dinner by HPFPC.

--> "by IPSJ/ITSCJ", anain.

Regards,

Makki
