The new WG5 web site is live at https://wg5-fortran.org/ The links to it
from the J3 site have been updated (at least from the main WG5 page
there - I will look for other places.) John has sent NAG text for them
to use to direct readers to the new site. All of us in WG5 are grateful
to NAG for their support of web content and documents for so many years.

The site is https-secure and also mobile-friendly. Nearly all of the
content that had been hosted at NAG has been ported over - what remains
to be done is news older than 2016 and the email list indexes. Please
try it out and let me know of any problems or comments (best if you
write me directly rather than copying the whole list.)

You will note that the main page promotes the survey we discussed in
Garching. I didn't get much feedback on this so we'll go with it for
now. It can be amended over time as need be. I will be promoting the
site and survey in comp.lang.fortran, comp-fortran-90 and other places I
can think of (Fortran group on LinkedIn, Intel forum, etc.) Feel free to
spread the word to your users. (Any bets on how long it will take
someone to suggest "Forty McFortran Face" or something like that?)

On a semi-related note, I received the following note from Jennifer
Garner of INCITS:

> I have just initiated accelerated 10-day INCITS Executive Board LB5620
> to determine the US National Body endorsement of your candidacy for a
> first term as Convenor of JTC 1/ SC 22/WG 5 – /Programming Language
> Fortran./ I will be in touch after the ballot has closed on July 29.
> Assuming approval, the US National Body approval of your endorsement
> will be submitted to the SC 22 Secretariat in response to SC 22 N5199
> by the August 1, 2017 deadline.

Steve
