Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: owner-sc22wg5@open-std.org Precedence: bulk Hi all, Just to be sure I do not forget anyone, I use the mailing lists to send out some final details about meeting 201 next week in Delft, the Netherlands. First: You all will probably disembark from the train from Schiphol Amsterdam International Airport at the Delft main railway station (which is just called "Delft"). Unfortunately, construction work is underway to upgrade the accessibility of the station, which - according to one of the students of the Technical University of Delft who is working at my employer for some months - will take well into the 2020's (it actually looks that way too). So while reaching Coen hotel is not that difficult (because it is at the back side of the station), Leeuwenbrug and the Bridges House might be more challenging - best is to ask inside the station. On the morning of Monday the 24 of June, I would ask you to assemble at Coen hotel, address: Hotel Coen Delft BV Coenderstraat 47 2613 SN Delft Phone +31 15 21 45 914 http://www.hotelcoendelft.nl/ e-mail: info@hotelcoendelft.nl at around 8:15. We could then walk to the meeting venue at: NEN Vlinderweg 6 2623 AX Delft The Netherlands (like we did 8 years ago) which is at a 35 minute walking distance from Coen hotel. According to the student, this route is unobstructed by construction work. The following is a link to the weather forecast for the center of the Netherlands (but given that it's only about 40 miles from Delft, a good indicator what to expect there), provided by the European Center for Medium Range Weather Forecasts: http://www.knmi.nl/exp/pluim/vijftiendaagse/index.php Monday might be the wettest day of the week, and temperatures during the week are not expected to top 20 degrees Centigrade (= (9/5)*20 + 32 = 68 Fahrenheit) by much. Have a nice and safe journey - see you next Monday !
