                   Meeting of ISO/IEC JTC1/SC22/WG5

The next meeting of WG5 will be held in Garching, Germany. The local organizer

1. OBJECTIVES OF THE MEETING

The major items of business for this meeting will be:

A. Review the PDTR Ballot comments on the draft TR on Further Interoperability
   with C., decide on changes, and construct a response document.

B. Consider the technical content of the proposed TR on Further Coarray 
   Features. 

C. Consider the defect reports (interpretations) in J3-006.

D. Construct a draft Fortran annex for the TR on "Guidance to Avoiding 
   Vulnerabilities in Programming Languages through Language Selection and 
   Use".
   
E. Consider whether Fortran should have a math functions module, as an 
   optional annex or an optional separate part.


2. ORGANIZATION OF THE MEETING 

At the start on Monday, this will be a normal WG5 meeting. For the
rest of the time, the meeting will be a joint meeting with J3. Much
of the time will be spent in sub-groups of all the delegates present.
There will also be plenary sessions, either of WG5 with John Reid in
the chair or of J3 with Dan Nagle in the chair. The exact timings
will be agreed between John and Dan from day to day. Closing business
for both J3 and WG5 will be on Friday.

Delegates should expect important business to continue until 1700 on 
Friday.


3. DOCUMENTS

It is essential that all delegates have access to all WG5 documents from 
N1794 onwards.


4. LOCAL ARRANGEMENTS 

The local host has prepared a separate document (N1840) with details
of local arrangements. 


5. REGISTRATION

Heads of delegations are reminded that the names of those who will be
in their delegations should be communicated to both the Convener and
the hosts no later than one month before the start of the meeting.
